I know that if you’re like all of the other gamers out there you love technical gadgets and use them with your RPG. This list showcases the best technical products to use for your role playing game.
1. iPad 2
This device has so many uses for your RPG. It has a huge amount of apps – many of them free.
Not to mention that since this device will only write when you touch it with your finger, if you put something on its surface like dice, or a miniature, it will not respond. Yes, that means you can use this as a digital map. Yes, that means it works great for small maps!
Being one of the first real popular smartphones this device has so many applications to use for your RPG that it’s almost ridiculous. It’s uses can range from that of for rolling dice, keeping track of multiple player’s hit points and about a ton more other uses.
3. Archos 101 Tablet
Google’s answer to the iPad. This is a very powerful machine and may very well be on par with the iPad at some point.
4. HTC Incredible 2
Although this is not as up there with the iPhone / iPad, it’s my personal favorite on this list. You can use this phone for anything – and it’s a must have for gaming. I use my incredible all the time! Plus, you can stream content directly to your phone – which makes this a great combo with…
5. Bluetooth Speakers
Whenever you go past these speakers just connect with your bluetooth device (like your iPhone or Android device) and you’ve got battle music in minutes. Sound awesome? It is.
6. Amazon Kindle
This device acts so much like a book that you can read the Kindle in direct sunlight. This ability alone makes this product awesome. The obvious benefit is to be able to read digital books with ease. Plus, you can’t beat the low price.
7. Livescribe Smart Pen
This is fantastic because everything you write will be saved electronically while using this pen. Just hook it into your computer and it will transcribe all of your gaming notes.
8. Samsung 1080p LCD HDTV
If you’re into maximizing your gaming room potential I would highly suggest a great flat screen. This is one of the best out there. Connect it to your PC and put it up on your wall.
Then, everyone can easily see what’s up when you want your players to take a look at a visual aid.
What to look out for…
Google Chromebook
Nothing but net… internet, that is.
Google states this IS the internet and I believe them! This looks awesome! Join the club and pre-order one with me!
